For over three decades, The Buzz, located at 5542 Eastpark Blvd, Madison, WI 53718 (behind Erin’s Irish Pub), has been the trusted local destination for expert haircuts. Owner Missy opened the salon more than 30 years ago with a clear goal: to create a friendly, no-frills space where walk-ins are always welcome—no appointments, just great cuts.

Our Story

Missy’s passion for hair started early and grew into a beloved community business. She built The Buzz with one promise: “I’ll Cut You”—meaning she’ll give everyone a fresh, confidence-boosting haircut, no matter who you are. That promise still guides us today.

Meet Missy

Missy, the owner and stylist, brings over 30 years of experience—and a sense of humor—to every haircut.


Though simple by design (no color, perm, or highlights), her skills shine in haircuts tailored for women, men, and kids.
Known for being “wonderful with little ones” and for having a playful car-shaped chair, she specializes in first haircuts and toddler trims.
